The Bears Minus Kreutz Equals Disaster.

It has been said that the Chicago Bears may lose center Olin Kreutz to the San Francisco 49ers. I sincerely hope that the Bears don't give in and let the Niners outbid them for the cornerstone of their offensive line, the same line that gave up an NFL-high 56 sacks last season. Although Kreutz is up there in age, he is still one of the best centers in the game, and the heart and soul of Chicago's offense. Without the six-time Pro Bowler, quarterback Jay Cutler can look forward to another season of picking himself up off of the ground after every other pass play. Not to mention, the center position is the only position that is set in stone with the 13-year veteran there. With Kreutz out of the mix, it will be back to square one for offensive coordinator Mike Martz and offensive line coach Mike Tice, which could lead to inconsistency in the running game and an unbalanced offensive attack.

Although the Bears could use some more help on the o-line, as well as at the receiver position, re-signing Kreutz would be the biggest, and most important move that Chicago can do in order to keep their Super Bowl hopes alive for the 2011 season.

  2. How the hell Jerry Angelou thinks anything good can come of Kreutz not being there is beyond my ability to comprehend. Seriously, how the hell does this man constantly keep his job?

Yeah Matt Forte, this is the guy that "promised you" a new deal. Good luck with that.

God, being a Bears fan is so damn frustrating sometimes.
