Not Pretty But Bears Are 3-0

I am not sure what to make of the Bears so far. They lose the game against the Lions if not for the controversial call made at the end of game where Calvin Johnson's catch was not ruled a catch according to league rules. Chicago also struggled against Dallas early on and if not for the Packers racking up 18, count them, 18 penalties, the Bears could easily be 0-3instead of 3-0.

The glaring concern is that the offensive line has struggled in each of the games so far this year and Cutler has paid the price having to take a lot of hard hits. The running game has yet to emerge as the Bears are averaging less than three yards per rushing attempt. You can't continue to win games if you can't protect your quarterback or establish a ground game. The defense has played decent but they were on the field for what seemed like an eternity in the second half as Green Bay put together two drives; each eating up nearly eight minutes off the clock. All three of these areas will have to show continued improvement if they hope to continue the success they've had thus far.

  1. I agree it is great to be 3-0 but we all know the Packers should have won on the road against us if they didn't commit so many dumb penalties you would have thought they were a college team if not for the talent clearly shining through.

  2. Well we aren't 3-0 right now, and that sure wasn't pretty. What was Jay doing, man?
