The Bears Are Who We Thought They Worthless

By: Greill Kupicky

Crown their ass!!!!! No, don't crown their ass, because we are all seeing what Denny Green saw four years ago, the Bears are exposed, the Tampa Two only works with Urlacher playing, and the Bears talent is subpar. Now, let's be honest, I don't think anyone thought Sunday's game against the powerhouse Viqueens would result in a Bear's victory, or even a good game, but they just seem to get worse and worse as the season drags on. They have quickly gone from potential contender to joke. I am having a hard time to pick them to beat even the Lions in any upcoming games. Who are they? They are soft, unmotivated and in a single word BAD!

I really just get nauseous watching this team. You know it's bad when they do a camera shot of Greg Olsen and you can read his lips...F***!!! They are frustrated, they have no swagger, and they wander amlously into each game with a hope and a prayer, and leave beaten like a redheaded stepchild. They have fallen like a stone feather since the Superbowl four short years ago, and the questions are how did we get to this point in this short time?

Can it really be as simple as poor drafting, poor personnel decisions in free agency and a coaching staff that lacks creativity to change with the times and put our players in a position to win? I guess if I had the answers to these questions, I would be on the Score, or a part of the Bear's team management...but I'm neither. I used to be anti-Angelo, then, he grew on me and I became a big supporter of him as GM, now I have turned back into an advocate of giving him his walking papers along with the entire coaching staff!

There is not one coach that inspires confidence and has the ingenuity of a coach that lives in the 21st century. Coach Smiths Cover 2 defense belongs in the "stone age" and Coach Turners offense is something of a joke because defensive coordinators know he has a 6 page playbook and there is no threat of a running game, no threat on the outside (right now) and Olsen is the only player who gets it in the passing game. Cutler is the team MVP! Period, no questions asked!! He is doing everything he can to make this a real NFL offense, but with the "Yoda of the sidelines" (Coach Smith) and his "Padawan" (Coach Turner) it is a lost effort! What really gets me is that under Rivera, this defense was top 5 in the league, since then, they suck sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo bad...why? Was Rivera that good? Were the players that much better that year? I don't know, but I do know that something's gotta give.

I am now, and always will be, a loyal Bears fan. But they will rise only when they make changes from top to bottom. The organization as a whole needs to be fumigated and cleansed, possibly an exorcism is in order! I will always proudly wave my Bears colors, but now we need to add a white flag and perhaps add some pink slips to that colorful blue and orange flag for the time being!
